Varieties of Organic Oranges – Creta Star

NAVEL

Large sized spherical shaped fruit, bright orange in color, seedless juicy flesh, with excellent flavor and moderate peel thickness. A fruit easy to peel and known for its excellent taste as a table fruit. Organic Navel oranges are characterized by the growth of a second fruit at the apex, which protrudes slightly and resembles a human navel.

The thriving period of organic Navel oranges is from mid-December to late April. As their main advantage, organic Navel oranges have their high resistance to transport and storage.

Medium sized spherical shaped fruit, orange in color, with particularly juicy flesh, seedless or carrying few seeds, with excellent flavor and fine peel thickness. The commercial harvest season runs from mid-April to the end of July. Organic Valencia variety has a high resistance to transport and storage.

LANE LATE

Lane late is late harvest variety of oranges. Its cultivation started in Chania, in 2010.
Large sized spherical shaped fruit, bright orange in color, with juicy seedless flesh, excellent flavor and moderate peel thickness. It has an excellent taste as a table fruit and a high resistance to transport and storage. The commercial harvest season for organic Lane Late oranges is from March to May.
